I never said that we could establish “a stable eastern
front somewhere in Russia.” I said that if Churchill
and FDR had not so cravenly aided and appeased the
Soviet Hitler and his Evil Empire with hundreds of
thousands of trucks then the Red Army would have
lacked the mobility to advance as far and as fast as
they were able to enabling our forces to potentially
capture most of Germany, half of Poland and all of
Hungary, Austria and most of Czechoslovakia by early
1945 before the Russkies did.

The only truce Stalin was offering Hitler in 1944 was
a return to Germany’s 1937 borders and the withdrawal
of all German forces to German territory. This was a
price that Hitler would never have paid. There is no
evidence that Stalin would have ever supported a cease
fire that did not give him in peace what he could
otherwise have achieved in war—namely the surrender of
vast tracks of European territory to Soviet control.
Stalin could have done what you said even with US and
British assistance, but he did not. So why do you
believe it was moral or justified to provide over $100
billion in today’s dollars worth of direct military
aid to Stalin (who killed many times more people than
Hitler) and the Soviet Evil Empire including tens of
thousands of tanks and combat aircraft not to mention
dozens of warships thousands of artillery pieces,
hundreds of thousands of trucks and significant
military industrial assistance to enable him to
subjugate eastern Europe and northern Asia? Would you
have supported allying with Hitler and the Nazis had
they taken over Russia and killed three times as many
people as a Josef Stalin that took over and Communized
Germany and invaded Poland with Russian assistance in
1939?
